WACO AREA YOUTH WIND ENSEMBLE

2008-2009 SEASON MUSICIAN’S AGREEMENT

 I, _________________________________  agree to the following conditions and requirements

 for participation in the Waco Area Youth Wind Ensemble ("WAYWE").

     1. I agree to attend all rehearsals and concerts.

     2. I will attend rehearsals even if I forget my music or instrument.

     3. I promise to practice and learn my WAYWE music assignments prior to rehearsals.

     4. For each rehearsal, I will be seated and reviewing my WAYWE music by 1:55pm.

     5. If I must miss a rehearsal, I will notify the conductor in advance and I will provide a valid reason for missing.

            Known Conflict: I hereby give advance notice of the following conflict (specify date and activity) with the required

           rehearsal and performance dates for the season:

     6. I will conduct myself in a professional and mature manner.

        (Unprofessional conduct includes, but is not limited to: tardiness; absence from a rehearsal or concert; failure to

        maintain musical competence; failure to adequately prepare for a rehearsal or concert; behavior that distracts or

        interrupts rehearsal.)

 By signing below, I acknowledge and accept these requirements for membership in WAYWE. I promise to do my best to fulfill my obligation to the ensemble, the conductor, and to the members of the group.

Parent Permission and Pledge of Support

By signing below, I acknowledge that my child and I understand the commitment and requirements as set forth above. I support his/her decision to participate in WAYWE and I have read and advocate the attendance policy. I will do my best to support my child in this endeavor.
