Dr. Brian P. Harris is Director of Bands at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas. Prior to joining the MCC faculty, he taught public school band and was Associate Professor of Music and Associate Director of Bands at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He holds the Ph.D. in Music Education from the Florida State University, the Master of Music Education from Louisiana State University, and the Bachelor of Music from Samford University. At MCC, he conducts the Wind Symphony, the Waco Area Youth Wind Ensemble, and the Waco Community Band. He is author of the Warner Brothers method book Directional Warm-Ups for Band and is a Past President of the Texas Community College Band Directors Association. He has published and presented clinics and research at state and national levels and remains active as an adjudicator, clinician, and composer/arranger.
