The MCC Highlands Festival is offered to you as a low-stress way to introduce your least-experienced students to the "contest" scenario. It is non-competitive, no ratings are given (comments only), and everyone goes home with a trophy. You also receive a video of your group’s performance for use as a teaching tool in class. A note from the Festival Organizer: Thank you for your interest in the MCC Highlands Festival! This event was started in May 2004 as a service to Central Texas band and choir directors and as a fund-raiser for the Waco Community Band. Your participation fee supports the continued activities of the band. I have designed the Festival to be an ideal way to give your groups a fun, educational field trip and an introduction to the “contest environment.” And most of all, it’s designed to be as stress-free as possible for you, the director. Please be certain to read all the details.
