Alternating between major and minor, White Oak has that "big band sound" everyone is looking for. A great warm-up march for use at contest or on a concert. Commissioned by the 2002 White Oak High School Wind Ensemble in White Oak, Texas, Mark Crim, Director.

    All parts are within "3rd-year" ranges: Flute to A-flat above staff (three times); Clarinet 1 to C above staff (once); Clarinet 3 crosses break only 6 times; 1st Trumpet to B-flat above staff (twice); 3rd Trumpet to D (once); Trombones to E-flat above staff (four times); BC Euphonium to high A-flat (twice).

    REQUIREMENTS:
    		 Playable without: Oboe; Bassoon; Alto, Bass, and Contra-Alto Clarinet; Baritone Saxophone; Mallets. Need either Tenor Saxophone or Euphonium.
    PERCUSSION:
    		 Parts for 5-6 percussionists: 
      Percussionist 1 = Snare Drum 

      Percussionist 2 = Tenor Drum 

      Percussionist 3 = Bass Drum 

      Percussionist 4 = Cymbals (crash cymbals and finger cymbals)

      Percussionist 5 = Xylophone

      Percussionist 6 = Marimba (optional)
